LocalGovCamp is an event for anyone interested in social media and its relevance to local authorities. It will take place on Saturday 20 June at Fazeley Studios in Birmingham.

The event is being run as a 'barcamp' or unconference.  That means its an open, participatory workshop-style event. There are no fees, and advance organisation around venue, catering and promotion is done by volunteers.

There is no advance agenda. Content (eg presentations, discussions, demonstrations, workshops etc) is suggested and scheduled on the day by participants. Session length is whatever's needed, spin-off conversations develop, and if there's time and interest, follow-up sessions can be slotted in.
